We are looking for a skilled and results-driven Terminal Manager to oversee all aspects of our terminal operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transportation and logistics, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily terminal operations, including dispatch, paperwork verification, and staff scheduling to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and safety protocols, maintaining a safe and efficient terminal environment.
- Financial Management: Monitor and assess financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing resource allocation, and driving overall profitability.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team. Provide regular coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a positive work culture.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement, implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate the customer experience.
- Emergency Response: Be available to handle after-hours calls and address urgent incidents, ensuring business continuity and problem resolution.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in transportation and logistics, with a preference for terminal management or dispatch roles.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
